Works market, oriented towards exemplarity, with the object of the renovation of the ground and ground level+1 and the extension of the head office of the Walloon Social Credit Society.

Work contract in three lots, oriented towards exemplarity, with the object of the renovation of the ground and ground level+1 as well as the extension of the head office of the Walloon Social Credit Society.

The project is composed of 3 lots:

- Lot 1: Structural work/Architecture + piloting lots 2 and 3

- Lot 2: Special Techniques

- Lot 3: Elevators

The aim of the project is to realize, in accordance with deadlines, an average building in an urban environment, bringing urban added value while offering significant modularity with mixed office space /housing. It should also be exemplary in terms of sustainable development, notably through, for example, the use of innovative techniques.

Given the privileged location of the project at the corner of the crossroads of one of the most important entrances in the city, the will of the contracting authority is to erect a “showcase” building of its company and allowing to establish its popularity.

These 4 values (modularity, sustainability, innovation, visibility) interact with each other and have been integrated into our project as follows:

The office tops are designed in such a way that each space can be adapted: an open space tray can therefore easily be transformed into a tray of individual offices and vice versa, by simple layouts and without substantial work; the building can be occupied by a single company or by different companies on each office shelf; thus meeting the evolution of the future needs of one company or another.

The choice of building materials was made on the basis of their impacts on the environment (use of the TOTEM tool) so that they are optimized.

The future building must be a precursor implementing innovative construction materials or techniques and allowing a new type of occupation and way of working, without compromise on energy.

The project is located at one of Charleroi's main entrances. It must be the showcase of the SWCS in order to make it known with a 'Strong Image' and coherent of the needs of today and tomorrow.

The building also offers versatile spaces accessible to the public (showroom, conference room,...) promoting exchanges, meetings and communication.

Since the existing building remains mostly occupied, all the work must be carried out minimizing the impact on users, ensuring business continuity and maintaining all the security and confidentiality essential for the proper functioning of the various services of a banking sector (reception and access of the public and staff, securing access, maintaining a dining room,...).
