Oslo University Hospital Trust invites tenderers to a contest for the procurement of 42 stretcher beds that will be used for emergency treatment during the injury emergency doctor shift, as well as for day surgery patients when a patient is woken up in bed and remains in the bed for several hours. In addition there will be an option for a further 9 equivalent stretcher beds.
There must be good access to the patient, with focus on the head end for emergency situations in order to secure respiratory passage. There must be good access to all of the patient, from both sides of the stretcher so that compressions can be carried out in the event of a cardiac arrest. It must be easy to move the patient from the operation table to the stretcher bed. There will be a need for different consultations for full body examinations, and good access to carry out different procedures, such as ECG, catheterisation, sample taking, etc. The stretcher will also be used as a transport stretcher, it must be comfortable to lie on as a patient can be lying on it for many hours. There must not be any risk of being crushed for both patients and employees.
