Lot 1:
- delivery and installation of a "molecular beam mass spectrometer" (MBMS),
- delivery of a computer-controlled MBMS instrument, installation, commissioning / testing and proper training of SCK-CEN staff.
Lot 2:
- supply and installation of a "glow discharge mass spectrometer" (GDMS),
- delivery of a GDMS instrument equipped with a sample cooler, a user interface computer (with monitor, keyboard and mouse), as well as the installation, commissioning / testing and appropriate training of SCK-CEN staff.

The MBMS will be used for the analysis of low ppm concentrations of ppb condensable gas molecules of various elements that have evaporated from the high temperature liquid lead-bismuth alloy in a gas stream at atmospheric pressure.
This GDMS system will be mainly used for the elemental analysis of lead-bismuth eutectic alloy (LBE, melting point 125
Among the other samples: steel with LBE surface contamination, Pb and Bi oxides, with or without metallic LBE contamination, filtration materials and filtrates containing Fe, Cr and Ni oxides with or without contamination by Metallic LBE.
