Rehabilitation of an existing 30" diameter pre - stressed concrete watermain by a combination of open cut and sliplinning techniques. In total approximately 5,200 m of watermain is to be rehabilitated. Works include:

— Investigative survey of the entire length of the 30” diameter pre-stressed concrete watermain;

— Relining approximately 4,700m of the 30” diameter pre-stressed concrete pipeline with a new 710mm diameter PE100 pipe using sliplinning techniques;

— Replacement of approximately 500m of the 30” diameter pre-stressed concrete pipeline with a new 700mm diameter Ductile Iron pipe using open cut techniques;

— Replacement of all valves, fittings, branch connections and associated cast-iron pipework new Ductile Iron valves, fittings and pipework;

— Construction of appropriate concrete chambers to valves and fittings;

— Installation of pressure reducing valves, flow meters, control and telemetry equipment;

— Testing and commissioning of the Works.
