a) to collect data and analyse from an economic point of view the existence and extent of possible problems for concluding cross-border insurance contracts, stemming from the differences of national contract laws applying either to all or particular classes of mass risk insurances;

b) to analyse the macroeconomic impact of such possible problems at the EU or national level.
