The new district at Mindemyren is rooted in the area zoning plan from 2014. Demographic increase is expected in the area, while the district's composition of business, housing and transport infrastructure is changing. Based on this, Bergen municipality acquired the post-terminal site in 2017 to meet the needs for municipal services in the new district, including a school.

The concept comprises:

A new primary school for 400 pupils.

Sheltered accommodation + flats, approx. 32

Activity centre for users living at home, including a community cafe.

Volunteer centre.

Sports hall.

Joint outdoor areas at ground level and on roof.

In this competition, EFU will enter into a contract with a project administration (PA) group.
