Planning of the Tennenlohe long-distance water pipeline BA2 Hahnenbalz – Neunhof junction

N-ERGIE Aktiengesellschaft supplies the city of Nuremberg with drinking water. With a daily capacity of around 15,000 to 18,000 m³, the Tennenlohe pipeline ensures the supply of the northern districts of Buchenbühl, Neunhof, Kraftshof and Boxdorf and covers part of Erlangen's drinking water needs. Due to the noticeable detachment of the bitumen inner lining, the pipeline is to be renewed in sections.

Construction phase (BA) 1: Haidberg elevated reservoir to Hahnenbalz industrial estate was completed in 2020. The construction phase (BA) 2 with a length of approx. 5.2 km from the Hahnenbalz industrial estate to the Neunhof junction is to be planned in this tender. This contract includes the planning services according to HOAI performance profile for civil engineering structures.

The replacement of the long-distance water pipeline is planned next to the existing pipeline (planned distance 3 m) over a length of 5 km through the Reichswald with crossing of a small settlement (Hahnenbalz), crossing the Gründlach and the Nuremberg-Gräfenberg railway line. The pipeline runs along existing forest paths for the most part. The total length of the planned water pipeline route is approx. 5.2 km.

The replacement building is to be planned as a steel composite pipe DN 500 with outer PE coating and cement mortar lining inside. As a rule, the coverage of the new cable will be approx. 1.5 m. The new pipeline is to be built parallel to the existing pipeline with a planned distance of approx. 3 m. Further installations include ventilation shafts and fittings shafts in addition to the pipe laying.

The contract includes the planning according to HOAI 2021 for engineering structures according to § 43.

Scope: Basic services (all service phases) as well as additional special services.

Estimated eligible construction costs in euros net:

Engineering structures: 10,800,000.00 Euro

Planned dates:

Step 1:

HOAI-LPH 2, preliminary planning ready by 31.08.2024

Level 2:

HOAI-LPH 6, preparation of the award until 30.09.2026

HOAI-LPH 7, award to construction companies will take place until 28.02.2027

Level 3:

HOAI-LPH 8, object monitoring until 30.09.2029

HOAI-LPH 9, Objektbetreuung ab 01.10.2029
