Description:
A001498 - HR platform for security services

Antwerp Fire Department (BZA) and Antwerp Police Zone (PZA) are both thinking of implementing a new platform on which the necessary HR2 processes function. With this HR platform, one wishes to take the next step in order to efficiently support business processes in which the various actors (administrators, employees, external parties) can always be helped from their position.

BZA is one of the 35 Belgian aid zones. The BZA protection area comprises three municipalities (including nine districts), which together cover an area of approximately 230 km 2 and represent a population of approximately 550,000 inhabitants. The operational framework consists of about 33 officers, 76 non-commissioned officers and 580 men. In addition, BZA also has administrative and logistical support from about 85 employees. BZA's task is to prevent and limit human and material damage. For this, great importance is attached to specific professional knowledge, technical skills and constant physical readiness. BZA has very specific equipment and a modern fleet. Through constant training and innovation, the operation is adjusted in accordance with the ever-changing risks.

PZA is the largest local police force in Belgium with more than 2,650 employees. The employees can be divided into 2 150 operational employees, who are supported by some 500 administrative employees or Calog personnel (= administrative support staff without police authority). These figures are mainly indicative of the order of magnitude, we expect further growth in the coming years.

PZA is always, everywhere and progressively involved in the city of Antwerp. Mediating where possible, decisive where necessary. PZA is available 24/7, continuously available and accessible, visible and invisible in the street scene. Everyone can count on PZA, just as PZA counts on everyone in their quest for a safe city. Modern police work must keep up with the times. To make these ambitions possible, PZA employees value the following values: flexible, open, positive, connected, courageous and responsible.

To make this possible, PZA intends to focus strongly on sustainable HR in the coming years by managing talent and guiding the employee more in his career (the “employee experience / journey”). In this way, we give employees the opportunity to use their talents to the maximum, and as an organization we learn which skills we have in-house.

BZA & PZA view this contract assignment as a joint exercise because both Antwerp security services have needs that coincide for a number of HR processes. In addition, there are also specific needs that vary by security department, which will be clearly identified later in the documentation.
