Description:
Supply and installation of detection equipment at the 3 European Parliament sites in Brussels, Luxembourg and Strasbourg

This contract includes the purchase, delivery, installation and commissioning of X-ray baggage and parcel scanners, walk-through metal detectors, and other products, equipment and services at the 3 European Parliament sites and, possibly, at its liaison offices. It also includes preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment and materials supplied by the contractor during the warranty period, provision of consultancy and advisory services, the possibility of leasing of equipment, on-site removal of equipment, legal control of equipment and possible training, removal, destruction and decommissioning of obsolete equipment and provision of the decommissioning and recycling certificate in accordance with the national regulations in force.

The subject of the contract includes:

A) the supply, delivery and transport to the place of installation of equipment, installation, commissioning, and related services, other than installation work, disposal of packaging, as well as all legal services and obligations necessary to carry out these operations:

— of baggage and parcel control tunnels by X-ray,

— of walk-through metal detectors and any derived system,

— removal, destruction and decommissioning of obsolete equipment as well as provision of the decommissioning and recycling certificate in accordance with the national regulations in force,

— of portable/ hand held metal detectors ,

— of trace detection devices,

— of lifts,

— of tray returns,

— of trays,

— of management, training and/or visualisation information systems,

— of software, licences, and operational support and technical assistance,

— any other equipment required to cover operational requirements (e.g. TV screens, cables, dosimeters, test kits, probes and test samples, etc.);

B) preventive (at least a minimum of one visit per year) and corrective maintenance of equipment and components supplied by the contractor during the warranty period (minimum 2 years) and of equipment supplied and installed by the contractor, from the date of provisional acceptance of the equipment;

C) provision of consultancy and advisory services;

D) possibility of equipment leasing, with purchase option;

E) relocation of on site equipment;

F) specific training, to be differentiated from user training when commissioning equipment;

G) disposal/recycling of obsolete equipment.
