The School Catering Service is aimed at:
• children and adults of the Nests, limited to the supply of fresh food;
• children and adults in kindergartens;
• to children and adults in primary schools;
• to children and adults of secondary schools;
• children and adults of the educational-recreational services, organized by the Municipality of Nichelino.
The Company awarded the Contract must carry out the Service in question, in accordance with the methods described and the requirements contained in the Special Procurement Specifications.
The global goal of the restaurant service will be to provide an appropriate meal in an appropriate context according to a systemic vision of quality. In this sense, the objectives and strategies of organizing a school restaurant service must be inspired by a conscious and effective total quality policy that takes into account:
•definition and formalization of roles and responsibilities for the design, management, production, control
•identification of the necessary human resources and their qualifications
•training and updating of staff on the objectives and peculiarities of the service due to its purpose and its users
•correct management and improvement of structural and plant equipment
•availability of rooms and furnishings of adequate comfort for the consumption of the meal
• guarantee of a hygienic self-control system
•assessment and management of surpluses and surpluses
•correct waste management (separate collection, use of ceramic or low environmental impact plates, etc.)
•activation of a system for detecting and managing service non-conformities
•differentiation of the menu in relation to the type and need of users
•consistency of consumption times with the eating habits and physiological needs of users
•system for verifying the degree of user satisfaction, through objective and subjective indicators
•specific collaborative interventions on educational projects on the subject of nutrition.
