The Finnish Forest Centre shall ask for an offer on the timber interpretation and test measurements of the remote sensing based forest inventory in accordance with the specifications of this invitation to tender and its annexes. Bids are requested by inventory area from one or more areas. The supplier is selected by inventory area.

Remote sensing-based forest tree survey in 21 inventory areas in mainland Finland. In 7 of these areas, the work also includes measurements from reference plots.

Tree interpretation is based on laser scanning, aerial photographs and terrain measurements. The client provides the starting materials for the tree stand interpretation. The plot measurement data for 7 regions is provided either in whole or in part by the provider/supplier.

This acquisition includes tree stand interpretations in all areas and plot measurements in 7 areas. The gross area of one inventory area is from 2000 to 4000 km2. The total gross area of all regions is about 60,000 km2.
