BAA regards Systems Assurance as an integral part of the quality approach to any project delivering or impacting, in whole or in part, computer based systems.
BAA are looking for suppliers who can supply resource with the capabilities set out in the PQQ document including:
— assess IT systems for business risk and integrity to establish assurance requirements for each system, and subsequently monitor systems to ensure risks have been addressed,
— determine classification of proposed systems in terms of software content, criticality to success of the portfolio, degree of development, difficulty of defining requirements, likelihood of change and supplier capability,
— conduct risk and integrity analyses of proposed system architectures and provide guidance on assurance issues,
— assess operational and performance characteristics of new software products and classify in terms of software impact,
— review all systems suppliers' quality plans for completeness and conformance to Project standard.
