Realization of the current state of the environment.
Normandy (AO4)The authorization procedure for the construction of an offshore wind farm project and its connection is made up of several stages, the first of which are the responsibility of the State from the law for a State in the service of a company of confidence (Essoc) of 10.8.2018 including the realization of the current state of the environment of the area to which the competition procedure will relate. It allows the environment to be described before the project is carried out in accordance with article R. 122-5 of the environment code. For the AO4 in Normandy, the area covered by the contract is an area of approximately 300 km
- so-called C1 compartments, namely underwater ambient noise, marine and migratory avifauna, bats, marine mammals, large pelagic fish and marine turtles;
- the so-called C2 compartments, namely water and sediment quality, airborne ambient noise, planktonic biocenosis, benthic populations and habitats, phanerogams and macroalgae, fish, molluscs and crustaceans, heritage and the landscape and certain anthropogenic activities existing in the area, in particular professional fishing activities.
Concerning the AO4 (Normandy), the realization of the current state of the environment, for the C1 compartments, is already the subject of an ongoing contract. The data collected at the end of this contract on the C2 compartments will be sent to the winner and will be necessary for the process of obtaining authorizations. Thus, the target date for starting the campaigns is early December 2021. The campaigns will last between 1 and 2 years depending on the compartments.
South Brittany (AO5)The authorization procedure for the construction of an offshore wind farm project and its connection is made up of several stages, the first of which are the responsibility of the State from the law for a State in the service of a company. of confidence (Essoc) of 10.8.2018 including the realization of the current state of the environment of the zone on which the procedure of competition will relate. It allows the environment to be described before the project is carried out in accordance with article R. 122-5 of the environment code. For the AO5 in South Brittany, the area covered by the contract is currently being determined by the Minister with regard to consultations with various players, but it would be of the order of 200 km
- so-called C1 compartments, namely underwater ambient noise, marine and migratory avifauna, bats, marine mammals, large pelagic fish and marine turtles;
- the so-called C2 compartments, namely water and sediment quality, airborne ambient noise, planktonic biocenosis, benthic populations and habitats, phanerogams and macroalgae, fish, molluscs and crustaceans, heritage and the landscape and certain anthropogenic activities existing in the area, in particular professional fishing activities.
For the area off southern Brittany (AO5), the realization of the current state of the environment covers both compartments C1 and C2. This description of the environment will initially be communicated to the candidates of the competitive tendering procedure and will be done via an intermediate deliverable processing the data corresponding to a minimum of five months of campaigns to allow them to refine their offers, by considering two maximum month of data processing. The second objective is to communicate to the winner of the competitive tendering procedure, as close as possible to his designation, the deliverable analyzing the first year of the campaign. Thus, the target date to start the campaigns is early December 2021. The campaigns will last between one and two years depending on the compartments.
