The Kath. Krankenhaus Hagen gem. GmbH intends to close the Elsey Hospital with its somatic departments of surgery, internal medicine, ENT and gynecology and to convert it into a specialist clinic for psychiatry and psychotherapy. The aim is to merge the psychiatric department of Hagen Hospital with the existing psychiatry department at the Elsey site. In order to implement this measure, considerable replanning and conversion measures are required. For this purpose, various construction services must be put out to tender and awarded. The described measure is funded by the Hospital Structural Fund in accordance with §§ 1ff. of the Hospital Financing Act (KHG).

The existing Elsey Hospital is to be converted into a specialist clinic for psychiatry and psychotherapy. For this purpose, the existing building is to be subjected to considerable conversion measures. Since this is a conversion during ongoing operation, it is expected to be carried out in three construction phases.

The conversion work began in January 2022 and is expected to be completed by November 2025.

In all construction phases, the spatial structures of the existing building will be changed and adapted to use for psychiatric and psychotherapeutic purposes.

The subject of this procedure are new plastic and aluminium windows and aluminium doors in all three construction phases.
