With the "Powder-Up!" project, a pilot plant is being built at ZSW for the upscaling of the synthesis of tailor-made cathode materials from 1-kilogram to 10-kilogram to 100-kilogram scale. The design is based on NCM and NCA.
In "Powder-Up", only industry-proven machines are used to guarantee powder production under near-industrial conditions - from the production of a so-called precursor and its further processing with lithium salts - to the final surface post-treatment of the end product.
The envisaged material throughputs require facilities with appropriate capacity to allow material quantities to be scaled up.

Scope of delivery:
Membrane filter press machine for washing and dewatering of precipitation product.
Reliable filtration and emptying of filter cake without the presence of the operator in the process cycle. Due to the possibility of control-technically adjustable operating modes, changes to the medium to be filtered as well as changes to requirements for throughput, DM content can be easily realized.
Material resistance to the product must be ensured for 2 years:
With 40% solids content and 60% solution (consisting of a maximum of 20% acid (HCL or H2SO4) or alkali (NaOH), all materials of the machine with product contact are acids and alkali resistant.
