The ZVH is inviting tenders for the overall provision of the planning (detail engineering) and plant construction of a digestion plant for a multi-purpose demonstration plant (BioCampus MultiPilot (BMP)). Essentially, the subject matter of the present award procedure includes all necessary planning, supply, construction and services for the realization of a self-contained package unit that is fully functional in accordance with the results of basic engineering and the design and approval planning of the building, as well as for the integration of these into an overall functional BMP. Within the scope of this tender, the contractor must provide all necessary services with regard to the equipment design, production, assembly, delivery, assembly and installation, connection and commissioning of all machines, apparatus, peripheral components and other systems within the process limits (in battery limits) of the package unit.

The documents, plans, calculations and descriptions created in the course of basic engineering form the basis for the subject matter of the tender. These must be included as a basis in the further processing (detail engineering and plant construction) by the contractor.

The digestion plant includes all the main apparatus described in the tender documents as well as all peripheral equipment, local piping, cabling and instrumentation, steel construction, automation and safety equipment required for their process engineering functions in accordance with the results of basic engineering. Essentially, the subject matter of the present award procedure includes all necessary planning, supply, construction and services for the realization of a self-contained package unit that is fully functional in accordance with the results of basic engineering and the design and approval planning of the building, as well as for the integration of these into an overall functional BMP. Within the scope of this tender, the contractor must provide all necessary services with regard to the equipment design, production, assembly, delivery, assembly and installation, connection and commissioning of all machines, apparatus, peripheral components and other systems within the process limits (in battery limits) of the package unit.

Based on the existing results and current findings, a uniform, coherent and explicit detailed engineering of the digestion plant including all batches, mixing, storage, circulation and expansion tanks as well as all peripheral machines, apparatus, piping, valves, fittings, sensors and other elements must be carried out in accordance with existing process flow diagrams. The existing technical specifications must be checked, supplemented, specified and defined by the contractor for completeness and correctness. The handling of the deliveries as well as the coordination of the plant construction for the sub-plants within the scope of services of the contractor are also among the essential tasks of the contractor. Automation and process control programming, functional tests, performance verifications and acceptance tests of all machines, apparatus, process units and systems necessary for proper use of the digestion plant must also be provided by the contractor within the project.

All in all, it is the task of the contractor to continue to plan and implement a fully functional digestion plant within the BioCampus MultiPilot in the sense of the design concept and also to introduce and integrate it into the overall BMP system without interference in terms of (construction) technology and functionality.
