The objective of this contract is to create a technical basis for the new monitoring requirements so that the implementation of the new rules under the revised Drinking Water Directive (DWD) can be tracked at EU level. More precisely, the contract aims to:
1) collect examples of best practices and lessons learnt of existing reporting set ups in line with the INSPIRE Directive;
2) in close cooperation with the EEA, define a conceptual model for monitoring results, incidents and derogations and consult the Member States on the content for these data sets;
3) list options on how national data sets could be managed.
Data sets on quality of drinking water supplied – exceedances, incidents and derogations.
