The city of Bergkamen is planning to build a new building on the site of the former castle school, including and renovating the existing building wings. The castle school is made up of different building wings from different years of construction.
The old school building is a 2-storey building with a basement at the beginning of the 20th century. This was renovated a few years ago, but is not barrier-free.
An adjacent single-storey break hall with break toilets is to be dismantled in the course of the planning and replaced by a new building. To the west of the break hall is a three-story building. The connection is via a mezzanine and is also not barrier-free. In the east was the former administration building, which had already been torn down down to the basement. The new wing is to be built at this location.
A feasibility study is already available which should form the basis for further planning services and the subsequent construction. The object planning (lot 1) has already been assigned in a previous procedure.
