Description:
The Provision Of Calibration And Routine Maintenance Of Commercial Off The Shelf (Cots) Test Equipment And Special To Type Electronic Countermeasures Equipment

Military aircraft. 1. Expressions of Interest are sought from companies interested in meeting the requirement to undertake calibration and routine maintenance of COTS Test Equipment and Electronic Countermeasures Special to Type Equipment (STTE) used to support the Tornado GR4 Aircraft.

2. Requirement:

a. Undertake Calibration and Routine Maintenance in February of each year until February 2018 to a number of pieces of COTS Test Equipment housed in three pieces of Electronic Countermeasures Special To-Type Test Equipment (STTE) at Royal Air Force Marham. Work to be conducted in three 5 day working weeks fitting in around extant working practices and MUST be completed within 15 workdays.

b. Undertake 6 monthly Calibration and Routine Maintenance in September and March of each year until September 2018 to a number of pieces of COTS Test Equipment and Electronic Countermeasures Special To-Type Test Equipment (STTE) at Defence Support Group (DSG) Sealand. Work to be conducted in two 5 day working weeks fitting in around extant working practices and MUST be completed within 10 workdays for each 6 Monthly visit. Exceptional cases maybe grant for some Calibration and Routine Maintenance activities to take place off-site.

c. Undertake ad-hoc repairs and calibration of Electronic countermeasures COTS and STTE at DSG Sealand. Historic throughput has been about 12 repairs per year.

3. Interested Companies will be expected to have the following skills and experience:

a. Proven track record in the Calibration and Maintenance of test equipment

b. Suitably qualified staff with experience of Calibrating and Maintaining test equipment.

4. This requirement is to be fulfilled with the placement of a contract no later than January 2015.

5. Companies that submit an EOI may be required to complete and return a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) as part of the tendering process. On conclusion of the PQQ exercise, successful companies will receive an Invitation to Tender (ITT) for this requirement.
