Design, construction and operation of a biogas plant. The biofacility will deal with biomasses related to the activities of Vesikolmio Oy and Vestia Oy, municipal sludge and separate biowaste. The biogas produced by the plant is aimed at utilizing power and heat generation and biomethane production. Electricity generated by CHP production is mostly utilized at Vesikolmio Oy's wastewater treatment plant, where annual electricity consumption is currently around 1,500 MWh/v and is estimated to increase to about 2,000 MWhr per year. The site of construction will be on the site adjacent to the Kalajoki Central Purification Plant.
The project requires an environmental permit, an environmental permit should be obtained for the project and if it is not obtained, the project cannot be implemented.
Preliminary acquisition includes the design, construction and operation of the biogas plant. The size of the facility with the expansion reserve is tentatively 15,000t/yr, with input provisionally a municipal sludge of about 5,000 t/v (Ka. 25%), separate collected biowaste of about 5,000 t/v (ca. 30%), and other biowaste fractions of about 200 t/yr.
The construction work/procurement is a KVR work, including design, construction, use and service control to a greater extent specified by the procurement documents.
