The Grangegorman Development Agency (GDA) wishes to deliver “community benefit” outcomes from its procurement activity with a view to ensuring that wider social issues are taken into account when spending public money. The intention is to achieve the very best value for money in the widest sense. The GDA has accordingly adopted the Grangegorman Employment Charter (Charter) which contains contract performance conditions related to social considerations. The successful tenderer will be required to implement the Charter as a condition of the contract. The obligations under the Charter apply only in respect of the performance of the Works and the contract. The Charter is available to download with the other tender documents. The relevant provisions of the contract (available at www.constructionprocurement.gov.ie) regarding minimum pay and working conditions should also be noted - the specific form of contract for this procurement is identified in the Suitability Assessment Questionnaire.
