The contract includes the supply and installation of a dynamic vapour sorption analyzer for gravimetric analysis of materials with the widest possible field of application.
This equipment will be used for automated sorption and desorption analysis with water vapour and gases (inert, non-corrosive and non-explosive gases such as nitrogen and argon), especially the measurement of isotherms over a wide range of humidity and temperatures. The materials to be analyzed come from works of art, immovable heritage (monuments), or restoration materials intended for this heritage. The inorganic or organic materials to be analyzed include: salt samples, natural stone, brick, mortars, plasters, topcoats, pigments, textiles. In other words, just about any type of historical materials or conservation-restoration products.
Minimum requirements:
- the integration of automatic and manual programming of temperature, humidity and weighing intervals via the supplied software;
- the widest possible loading range of 0.01 g to a minimum of 10 g;
- a temperature and humidity range as wide as possible, respectively at least 5 to 40 ° C and 0 to 98% RH;
- as wide a range of samples as possible per analysis cycle, with a minimum of 5 samples;
- a gravimetric resolution of at least 1 μg;
- integrated (continuous) image recording to monitor changes in the sample during an experiment; and
- integrated Raman spectroscopy for the analysis of changes in the sample during an experiment.
