The municipality of Siuntio is asking for a tender for the winter maintenance of streets, roads and pedestrian and bicycle lanes for which the municipality is responsible. Winter maintenance takes place annually from the beginning of November until the end of April of the following year (1.11 - 30.4). Including plowing, anti-slippery conditions, as well as active monitoring of weather conditions, taking the necessary measures, as well as the removal of sand. In addition, it is requested to offer separately billable snow removal for those areas for which the contractor submits a tender for winter maintenance. An offer must be submitted for anti-slip materials, including an estimate of the amount required. Anti-slip materials have the right to invoice the customer according to the actual amounts realised by presenting copies of the consignment note.

The municipality is divided into different regions and tenders are requested and compared by region. The areas are map-specific and there is a separate map for each area. The selection criterion is the lowest price for the management of the regional contract and the management of the traffic environment, based on the total annual prices given by the tenderers for each region. Thus, in some areas, the contractor may change in the middle of the contract period.
