The CPHE will appoint contractors to support the development of two separate pieces of complementary guidance:

— ‘Smoking cessation in secondary care: acute and obstetric services’,

— ‘Smoking cessation in secondary care: mental health services’.

There are five components of work associated with the guidance development that the CPHE seek to commission and these are:

1) One review of Effectiveness and one Barriers/Facilitators review – acute and obstetric services;

2) One review of Effectiveness and one Barriers/Facilitators review – mental health services;

3) One review of Effectiveness and one Barriers/Facilitators review – smokefree strategies;

4) Economic Analysis (cost effectiveness review and economic model);

5) A review of the effects of nicotine in secondary care.
