The buildings of the Carl-Friedrich-Flemming Klinik (CFFK) were built in several construction phases from 1824-1913 to accommodate the mentally ill. House 39 was built in 1911 as a reception centre for women. The DG of the elongated two-storey building was expanded in 1960. In 1970 further extensive renovation work took place. The aim of the structural redesign of the CFFK is to improve the accommodation of patients and to restructure the functional areas within the respective clinic. In the course of the reorganization, station 26 of the upper floor moves into house 22. The psychiatric and psychotherapy wards 24 and 25 already in building 39 will remain there. In the future, ward 24 for patients with depression will be accommodated on the ground floor. Ward 25 for patients with personality disorders is located on the upper floor. The DG is fully involved in the usage concept. Here you will find, among other things, various offices of the wards (occupational therapy, psychologists with associated adjoining rooms), the changing rooms for the staff and the therapy kitchen. In the partial KG, the storage and technical rooms and a ventilation center are provided. House 39 can be entered via three entrances arranged in the risalites. The two staircases for vertical access are housed in the lateral transepts. In the course of the redesign, a bed-accessible elevator will be created in the central risalit to supply and dispose of all levels (E01/0/1/2) of the house as well as to ensure accessibility. After the building has been cleared, the individual levels are adapted to the new usage concept as well as to the applicable building regulations requirements. The execution of the tendered service takes place in 2 construction phases. The 1st BA begins even before the free movement of the building. In the 1st BA, external development is preferred. The 2nd BA includes the complete gutting and restructuring of the building, including subsequent installation of an elevator shaft while replacing parts of the floor ceiling. In the course of the redesign, the communal sanitary facilities will be replaced by sanitary cells assigned to the bed rooms.
The building envelope remains largely untouched.
