The BMWK market development programme is intended to make it easier for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the self-employed in the commercial sector as well as specialist liberal professions and business-related service providers with business operations in Germany to enter new markets and to lead to further successes in export activities.

Digital business initiations are digital events related to a particular destination country and industry (e.g. optics in France/waste management in Poland). Interested local companies, administrations, associations and institutions receive specific information about the performance of the respective industry in Germany during a subject-related digital presentation event. German companies have the opportunity to present their products, services and possible fields of cooperation to foreign trade audiences in a short presentation focused on the essentials. The presentation event is intended to provide space for digital contact discussions between German and foreign participants as well as include other attractive elements.

The central element of digital business initiation is the individually prepared contact discussions between German companies for targeted business initiation with potential business partners in the target country. Before the event, target market analyzes with comprehensive information about the industry and market will be prepared, which will be made available to the participants and also published. The requirements according to Appendix 1_ABD and the guidelines.
