This consultation concerns the carrying out of preventive archaeological excavations as part of the redevelopment of Place Guy Coquille in NEVERS (58000). As part of the project to redevelop the François Mitterrand shopping area, the City of NEVERS is considering the installation of a fountain on the west side of Place Guy Coquille which requires the creation of a 3 m deep technical room. Work is scheduled to start in 2024. The benefits are broken down into 3 tranches:

Firm slice:

Phase 1: Traditional Archaeological Excavation at the Location of the Fountain Machinery

Phase 2: Follow-up of the opening of the trenches necessary for the installation of the networks around Place Guy Coquille

Phase 3: Preparation and delivery of the excavation report

Optional tranche 1:

Depending on the density of the funerary structures, adjustment of the means of intervention necessary for the excavation and study of 6 burials.

OPTIONAL Band 2:

Depending on the conditions of stratification in the western part of Place Guy Coquille, adjustment of the means of intervention necessary for the excavation to the reality of the distribution of the remains and archaeological structures actually encountered.
