Fræna municipality is situated north of Molde in Møre and Romsdal. Fræna is a coast and fjord municipality with a rich and diverse nature. From 1.1.2020 Fræna municipality and Eide municipality shall merge into 1 new municipality named Hustadvika municipality.

WSP Norge AS is hired by Fræna municipality for support in programming,procuring and implementing for the project “New primary school in Elnesvågen”.

The project is for engineering design services, planning and execution of:

1) New primary school;

2) Basic hall in connection to the new primary school;

3) Outdoor areas and required plants for the new primary school;

4) Demolition of the existing primary school;

5) Football field (option).

A gradually development and a possibility for a temporary school on the current site shall be possible.

Fræa municipality hereby invites turnkey contractors to participate in a tender contest above the EEA threshold value in accordance with Part 1 and 3 in the Public Procurement Regulations for the project “Ny barneskole i Elnesvågen”. The objective of the tender contest is to enter into a contract with a turnkey contractor and its contract partners for engineering design, construction and test operation of the new primary school, basic hall and accompanying outdoor areas. The school must have all the primary school functions. The current school must be demolished and an option for a football field is included. Collaboration has been chosen as the implementation model based on an ‘interaction contract’ for the project. The municipal council decided to implement the project in a meeting held 21.2.2019, case number PS 4/2019. A new primary school shall be constructed. The school must have a capacity of 400 students in the 1st — 4th years and 240 pupils in the 5th — 7th years.

The turnkey contractor should be awarded in January 2020, with a direct commencement of interaction. The project shall be subject to gradual development with completion in June 2022.
