The city of Böblingen intends to build a new center on the Murkenbach.

The center will include the following uses:

- 5-group daycare center with outdoor play area for expected two groups with children under 3 years of age and three groups with children over 3 years of age (in total approx. 95 children)

- two playgroups for children under one year of age with a shared outdoor terrace

- District meeting place with an outdoor terrace

The area program to be realized represents a gross floor area of around 2,200 m².

The building is to be planned as a wood/timber hybrid building with green façades, an intensively green roof garden to expand the outdoor play area and extensive green roofs.

The property has a total size of ~ 2,100 m² including traffic areas. Of these, around 1,500 m² of outdoor facilities with a ~ 900 m² playable outdoor area are to be planned

The rough cost estimate of the entire project currently amounts to approx. € 8.6 million (gross), of which approx. € 745,000 gross is attributable to cost group 500.

Currently planned project schedule:

- Start of planning immediately after commissioning (expected January 2024)

- 1st quarter 2025 Start of construction of the shell

- 1st quarter 2026 Start of construction of outdoor facilities

- 1st quarter 2027 Commissioning of daycare center

Service phases 1 - 9 + special services on request (e.g. monitoring and rectification of defects within the limitation period, preparation and calculation of life cycle costs, preparation of existing outdoor plant documentation)

The commissioning of the service phases takes place in stages. The client is free in his decision about a further assignment; there is no entitlement to the transfer of further services.
