The Food Application Center for Technology (FACT) is an initiative of the Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences (HVHL) and Nordwin College (MBO) together with the Northern Dutch food industry and Provinsje Fryslân. The FACT is a facility for industry and education in which practical food technology research is conducted and demonstrated. The FACT is part of HVHL Leeuwarden and is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment that enables industry to conduct (innovative) research on process optimization, product development and food analysis (chemical, biological, rheological and sensory) under the supervision of lecturers. ). In addition, industry can work independently on the equipment in the FACT. The FACT was opened in October 2018 and primarily focused on liquid processes.
