Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH is requested by EASA to remedy deviations with regard to the load-bearing capacity of areas on both sides of all runways or to implement pre-agreed deviations.
On both sides of all three runways, 4 to 5 m wide SLW 60 operational routes (for vehicles up to 60 tonnes gross vehicle weight) are to be built for the access and provision of rescue forces in action, for winter service and for training trips of the FKB plant fire brigade. In total, these trails cover a length of about 16 km; According to the current state of planning, the new sealing is approx. 70,000 m².
The scope of services includes, among other things:
• the vegetation mapping of the biotope areas in the area of the projected operational routes (partly protected biotopes according to § 30 BNatSchG or § 42 LNatSchG); Biotope and habitat mapping according to the mapping key of LANUV NRW
• the species protection contribution (ASB) according to §§44 and 45 BNatSchG
• the Landscape Conservation Accompanying Plan (LBP) in accordance with §14 BNatSchG or §§30 and 31 LNatSchG NRW
• the Preliminary Impact Assessment (FFH-VP) in relation to Natura 2000 sites:
o Wahner Heide Habitats Area (DE 5108-301) and Wahner Heide Bird Sanctuary
(DE 5108-401); in accordance with § 34 BNatSchG and § 53 LNatSchG NRW as well as Art. 6 para. 3 of the Habitats Directive
• General preliminary examination of the individual case to determine the EIA obligation in accordance with §§ 5 and 9 UVPG (screening)
• FFH impact assessment as a contingent item
• EIA assessment as a contingent item
