The execution of the works included in the Water Supply Project from El Embalse de Guadalcacín to El Partidor de La Peruela. T.M. of San Jose del Valle (Cadiz). Phase I Guadalcacín-Chimenea de Equilibrio Dam aims to guarantee a better supply of quality drinking water, benefiting the additional population that occurs as a result of the population increase, which within the scope of the action presents a real connection to the water supply system, which meets the standards defined in Royal Decree 140/2003 of 7 February, which establishes the sanitary criteria for the quality of water for human consumption to the population, and the forecasts set out in the Hydrological Plan of the Guadalete-Barbate Hydrographic Demarcation.

The project defines - at the level of constructive detail - the new infrastructures that need to be incorporated into the current system, as well as the modifications that need to be made to existing ones.

The project defines -at the level of constructive detail- the new infrastructures that need to be incorporated into the current system, as well as the modifications that need to be made to existing ones, so that the integrated system meets the objective of conveying regulated water in the Guadalcacín to the La Peruela splitter, taking advantage of all the reservoir race, for the urban supply of the area of Cadiz.

Description of the works to be carried out:

The works included in this project include Phase I, which encompasses all the actions to be carried out from the foot of the Guadalcacín Dam to the new Equilibrium Chimney:

- A charge outlet from the Guadalcacín Dam to the aspiration of the new pumping station, already built previously, including the necessary modifications to the electrical installations for the correct operation of the new pumps.

- The adaptation of pumping equipment to the new operating conditions.

The main structures that constitute the solution planned for Phase I are as follows.

• Link between the dam foot and the aspiration of the New Pumping Station (EBN).

• Refurbishment of the new pumping station.

• Drive.

• New equilibrium fireplace parallel to the existing one.
