This document is the descriptive document for an open procedure for medium-term research / advice on cash infrastructure.

The reason for the project is the trend-based decline in the use of cash compared to other payment methods. The survey and advice concern the entire cash chain (for banknotes and coins).

The aim of the research and advice project is to define and design a socially efficient, robust and safe medium-term cash infrastructure in the NETHERLANDS with a structurally low use of cash at the counter.
