The city of Ypres has concluded a long-term premium agreement with the Property Heritage Agency for the phased implementation of the restoration of the monumental Cloth Hall and the Belfry on the Grote Markt in Ypres.
For the implementation and realization of the restoration work provided for in the multi-year premium agreement, a design office must be appointed to prepare the respective application files for obtaining a heritage premium according to the special procedure per phase.
The designer is responsible for:
- the preparation of the application file in accordance with the provisions of the Real Estate Heritage Decree of 12.7.2013
- the preparation of a complete tender file (estimate, specifications and plans per restoration phase)
- the administrative and technical follow-up and monitoring of the timing and deadlines set by the Immovable Heritage Agency (implementation of the Real Estate Heritage Decree) with regard to the application, design, implementation, delivery and payment (advance and balance) of the premiums awarded,
- all related sub-tasks as described in the specifications
The city council attaches great importance to creating support for this large and long-term restoration project with the Ypres population and expects the active participation of the engineering office for this.
