The city of Nuremberg — represented by the building office of the city of Nuremberg — is converting into a children/youth house and a children's nursery house in the Herrenschießhaus (hereinafter referred to as the south wing) and the subsequent storage building (hereinafter referred to as the west wing) in Lower Talgasse 8 in 90403 Nuremberg.
The estate of the Lower Talgasse 8 is a high-level monument of the city of Nuremberg.
There is also a natural monument, an approximately 300-year-old plane tree, in the building's old shooting trench.
As new uses, the children's and youth center on the ground floor and in the column hall are integrated into the building, as well as the children's nursery on the first floor.
The rooms in the vaulted cellar, below the west wing, are intended for technical installations.
The eastern annex in the garden level receives toilet facilities.
The conversion measure includes, among other things, pollutant remediation, static upgrading of the roof truss, including the roof covering, the renovation of the façades and continuation, the energetic refurbishment already carried out — taking into account the required fire protection, and extensive accessibility.
The renovation and redesign of the open spaces by SÖR, as well as a static and restorative renovation of the city walls, limiting the property, will continue to be integrated into the measure.
