Afeer is a private equity firm that has been in existence for 2 years now and is the legal successor of the employment agency Synergon. With almost 1000 employees, it is the largest employer in East Groningen. Absenteeism within Afeer has been high for a number of years. Various models of absenteeism counseling have been tried, but it has become clear that Self-Direction and medicalisation of absenteeism are counterproductive. At the beginning of 2020, Afeer started with a different way of absenteeism support (see request for quotation) and this is now starting to bear fruit.
