The assignment concerns a portfolio of projects for a qualitative improvement of the water treatment system that is carried out on the basis of a cooperation agreement (in the form of a framework agreement) with three cooperation partners.

This tender concerns the realization of additional treatment stages for the valorisation of substances released from sewage and/or the (additional, partial or possibly complete) removal of:

• Nutrients phosphorus (P) and nitrogen (N);

• Medicijnresten;

• Pathogenic substances and antibiotic resistance;

• Microplastics;

• Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs), such as PFAS;

• Ammonium.

This invitation to tender shall comprise the following activities for the implementation of the additional purification stages described in this Article:

• (part of the) Design and consultancy work;

• Execution work (including technology supplies);

•Maintenance;

• Possible additional, linkable, renovation possibilities.

For the realization of the additional purification stages, the following is envisaged,

non-exhaustive list of purification technologies to be applied:

• Nutriëntenverwijdering: zandfilter, discfilter, GAK-filter;

• Drug residue removal: Pulverized coal (PACAS, post-sealed PAH or GAK filter), Ozone, biological, combination of techniques.
