The bridges programme must guarantee accessibility and quality of life in the municipality and at the same time keep the Pekelderdiep navigable (and affordable). The city council has established guiding frameworks for this. On the basis of further research (technical and traffic engineering) and in consultation with its residents and stakeholders, the municipality wants to make the right choices to ensure accessibility and quality of life for the future. In order to guide this program in the technical field, the municipality of Pekela intends to conclude a Framework Agreement with an engineering firm for the provision of services and products for the preparation and implementation of the Pekelderhoofddiep Bridges Program.
