However Metropolitan’s business functions as a Housing Association experience business peaks aligned to outside factors such as seasonal weather patterns — for example poor weather during autumn to spring causes wear and damage to buildings managed / owned by Metropolitan, resulting in an increased level of customer interaction.
Significant adverse weather — such as floods or extreme gales — will bring an increase of calls to. At such times, Metropolitan may require an enhanced response to incidents raised by the customer services team. The supplier whilst therefore working on the average data provided needs to be able to offer the capability to flex up and down as required by factors outside of Metropolitan’s control.

Metropolitan is inviting tenderers via an open OJEU (The Official Journal of the European Union) procurement process to provide a comprehensive Grounds Maintenance and Cleaning service to the benefit of Metropolitan and its residents in the East Anglia region for a contract period of October 2018 — September 2020. Metropolitan will award the contract to one (1) successful supplier for a contract period of this duration, with the option to extend the contract for up to a further two (2) years, reviewed on an annual basis.
