On behalf of the Department for Health and Care Services, Tromsø kommune c/o the Section for Development, is carrying out engineering design and construction of Fergeveien Shared Housing. The Shared Housing will consist of eight flats with associated common areas and an area for employees. Total area is approx. 900 m2.
This competition comprises the procurement of an engineering design group. The draft project and preliminary project shall be prepared, as well as the tender documentation for a turnkey contract.
Tromsø kommune shall establish and operate new shared housing in Fergeveien in Tromsdalen for 8 persons with disabilities. The shared housing shall be developed to be a future oriented residence and service offer that ensures the requirements the municipality imposes to provide safe, predictable services of good quality.
The shared housing shall consist of 8 adequate flats for persons who need 24 hours health and care services, common area and personnel base.
The shared housing shall as much as possible present as regular residences, in a normal residential area and have the least institutional similarity possible.
An engineering design group shall be engaged for engineering design of sheltered accommodations in shared housing in Fergeveien. 8 flats shall be built, distributed over 2 floors. On each floor there shall be common areas and work stations for the employees. The outdoor area shall have parking facilities, carport, waste management, bicycle parking, and outdoor areas for the residents. Residents of the shared housing will be persons with disabilities of varying degrees.

The group can, as needed, be supplemented with other disciplines. One person can have multiple functions in the engineering design group.
Implementation of the projects depends on political approval. Lack of approval in regard to financing or other conditions, may result in the competition being cancelled.
Occupation of the flats will take place in Autumn 2019.
