Uniform items must be delivered to the Customs Agency. The task of the Danish Customs Agency is to contribute to ensuring simple declaration of correct customs duties and efficient administration of the EU's customs rules. At the same time, it is the Agency's responsibility to maintain strong customs control and to protect Danish society against the import of illegal goods. The Customs Agency is organised with a Director, an Executive Board Secretariat and four Deputy Directors for the Staff, Development, Trade and Control Departments. The Danish Customs Agency is staffed by more than 1,000 employees, of whom about 450 are uniformed customs officers. The uniformed customs officers are attached to the Trade and Control departments, at the same time they are distributed geographically throughout the country at approximately 30 dispatch and control points.
