Statens vegvesen Region vest constructs a new E39 road between Svegatjørn in Os municipality and Rådal in Bergen municipality. In relation to this, Statens vegvesen is obligated to implement noise measures on nearby properties that experience noise above the limited value determined in the planning regulations for the project. In accordance with noise mapping carried out by Norconsult AS, noise measures must be implemented on a total of 50 residences in the Skjold area. Facade measures shall be implemented in the form of new windows, new vents, noise insulation of walls, balanced ventilation, etc. In addition, several of the residences shall have their outdoor areas shielded.

The scope of measures are stated in the description and reports, included in the tender documentation. This contest includes measures on approximately 50 residences, divided into the follow measures:

— 22 of the residential units will receive facade measures;

— 4 of the residences will receive balanced ventilation;

— 33 of the residential units will receive outdoor measures.
