The municipality of Oudewater intends to award an order for the reconstruction of the residential streets in the district around the Brede Dijk. The Brede Dijk district was built for the most part in the 60s and 70s. The dimensions and layout no longer meet the current standards and replacement of materials is necessary. The layout of the district is therefore in need of major maintenance. The Management department has commissioned an integral approach to major maintenance. Pavement, greenery and light poles are replaced. The sewer is also replaced or repaired where possible. A new rainwater sewer will also be constructed to disconnect the drainage of rainwater from the public space from the existing sewer (separate system). In addition to the major maintenance, the public space will be raised back to the original construction level, partly with light raised material. The aim is to design the district in such a way that it again meets the current standards and guidelines in terms of dimensions and
