The object of the award is a contract for the development, manufacture, supply, commissioning and approval of vehicles for traffic under the traffic tender RE/Ex36 Munich - Praha (abbreviation RX36)
The subject matter of the award is a contract for the design, manufacture, supply, commissioning and certification of passenger coaches and, where appropriate, locomotives in accordance with the following variants, the tenderer may offer only one of the following three variants:
Version 1:
(a) 12 to 16 regular train groups without control cars, each with at least 263 seats in 2nd class and 37 seats in 1st class with a maximum speed of at least 200 km/h, and
(b) 3 to 6 booster train convoys without control cars, each with at least 150 seats in 2nd class and 30 seats in 1st class with a maximum speed of at least 200 km/h, and
c) 4 to 7 multi-system electric locomotives for use at least in the Czech Republic below 25 kV AC 50 Hz and 3 kV DC with a maximum speed of at least 200 km/h.
Or
Variant 2:
(a) 12 to 16 regular train groups with control cars at one of the two ends of the train, each with at least 263 2nd class seats and 37 1st class seats with a maximum speed of at least 200 km/h, and
(b) 3 to 6 booster train convoys without control cars, each with at least 150 seats in 2nd class and 30 seats in 1st class with a maximum speed of at least 200 km/h, and
c) 4 to 7 multi-system electric locomotives for use at least in the Czech Republic below 25 kV AC 50 Hz and 3 kV DC with a maximum speed of at least 200 km/h.
Or
Option 3:
(a) 12 to 16 regular train groups without control cars, each with at least 263 seats in 2nd class and 37 seats in 1st class with a maximum speed of at least 200 km/h, and
(b) 3 to 6 booster train convoys without control cars, each with at least 150 2nd class seats and 30 1st class seats with a maximum speed of at least 200 km/h.
If this variant is awarded, the contracting authority will procure multi-system electric locomotives in a procedure other than the present one.
The vehicles designated in variants 1-3 must be able to be operated together with locomotives of the type Vectron Dual Mode from the manufacturer Siemens Mobility GmbH. For this purpose, the vehicles must be supplied with UIC coupling and door control.
In addition, for the vehicles named in variants 1-3, an assumption of the ECM 1 to 4 function (full-service maintenance) is to be offered, which includes all maintenance activities.
The deliveries and services to be provided by the Contractor (including, if applicable, associated services, e.g. training) are described in detail in the other tender documents.
A financing model specified by the task holder can be used.
The client currently assumes that the start of operations with the vehicles for the timetable change will take place on 12.12.2027. The traffic tender RE/Ex36 Munich – Praha provides that the start of operations can be postponed to 10.12.2028 under certain conditions. All vehicles must be delivered at least three months before the start of operation, have all registrations three months before the start of operation and be fully available for the start of operation.
The award is subject to the commissioning of the relevant transport services by the task carriers.
