From 1 January 2023, DCMR has the following options: Continuation of the WGA's own risk carriership, with private reinsuranceInsurance via the UWV. DCMR is considering becoming an own-risk carrier for the WGA as of 1 January 2023 (option 1). Whether the client actually becomes a self-insured person with a private insurance for the WGA depends on whether the own-risk carriership is a (financially) more attractive option than leaving the WGA financing with the UWV or taking it into its own management. Robidus will carry out the analysis in order to determine the foregoing. Depending on the outcome of this analysis, DCMR reserves the right not to award the contract (and to still opt for option 2: insurance via the UWV).

Description of the assignment
In the case of WGA own-risk carriership, the employer is directly responsible for financing the WGA benefit attributable to the employer (up to a maximum of 10 years after granting). In order to cover the risks of WGA own-risk carriership, DCMR wishes to take out a WGA own-risk carrier insurance.
It concerns a private insurance for the purpose of financing the WGA fixed and WGA flex benefits attributable to the employer. All employees (whether or not with an employment contract for an indefinite period, working in the Netherlands and abroad, on-call workers and flexible workers who may fall under the Sickness Benefits Act and of which any WGA benefits are attributed to the own-risk bearer) are then covered by the policy. This in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations of 1 January 2019.
