The city of Nördlingen is planning the (replacement) construction of a new indoor swimming pool after the existing indoor swimming pool has a high need for renovation and functionally no longer meets today's requirements.
The subject of this procedure are the basic services of service phases 1-6 of the service profile specialist planning, structural planning in accordance with Section 51 (1) HOAI 2021 i. V. m. Annex 14 No. 14.1 as well as the special services of the engineering control according to No. 7 of the ZVB-Trag (version 2019) and the preparation of the evidence for structural fire protection and earthquake safety.

The new building is to be realized in the Rieser Sportpark not far from the old swimming pool and the historic old town of Nördlingen. The Rieser Sportpark is located on the south-eastern edge of Nördlingen and includes the training grounds of TSV 1861 Nördlingen, the Gerd Müller Stadium, other football pitches, an event sports hall, a tennis hall and a bike park. The center of the Rieser Sportpark is a lake, near which the new indoor swimming pool is to be built.
The basic module of the indoor pool includes a 5-lane sports pool, a teaching pool with a lifting floor, a slide, a children's area and a small catering area. A sauna area with 3 sweating facilities and an outdoor sauna, a tube slide and an outdoor pool are to be developed as additional modules.
The investment cost framework is made up as follows:
- Basic module indoor swimming pool and additional module sauna: EUR 13.7 million net (KG 300-500),
- Basic module indoor swimming pool: EUR 10.3 million net (KG 300 + 400),
- Additional sauna module: EUR 2.8 million net (KG 300 + 400).
The optional extensions in the form of the outdoor pool and the tube slide are not included in this cost breakdown.
The commissioning of the architectural services takes place according to an architectural competition procedure according to RPW which is still ongoing at the time of the publication of this tender (decision of the jury will be made in April).
The commissioning of all planning services and the project management services should take place jointly at the beginning of July.
