The Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy e.V. (ATB) intends to purchase a new pump tanker with NIRS sensors for the Leibniz Innovation Farm for Sustainable Bioeconomy (Groß Kreutz site) by the end of January 2024 at the start of the management measures (July 2024 at the latest).
The forward-looking, transfer-oriented basic research at the Leibniz Innovation Court aims at circular, bioeconomic production processes. The motto of crop production is "diversification through digitalisation", e.g. through precise, small-scale control and knowledge-based management. Diversification also includes an expansion of the range of cultivation through new crops and cultivation methods adapted to them.
In order to implement these research tasks, the Groß Kreutz site requires a pump tanker for arable and grassland management that is technically optimally equipped for digitization in agriculture and is suitable for a large number of liquid and, if necessary, acidified substrates. Since the areas are up to 20 km away from the farmstead and have to be reached on public roads, the tanker must have appropriate driving characteristics. A tractor with 153 kW is used as a towing vehicle. Due to the use for experimental purposes, an exact substrate and nutrient quantity determination and control is essential. For this purpose, NIRS sensors (M-U-T GmbH or identical measuring principle, DLG-certified) are to be installed on-board.
