The contract comprises the construction of, amongst other things, road, cutting for a tunnel, concrete culvert for pedestrians and cyclists under a roundabout, a roundabout, foot/cycle paths, water and sewage installations, landscape work, street light installations and a new surface water system with drains, sand traps and transport pipeline for surface water.

The work also includes alterations to existing infrastructure such as:

— Electricity, tele and fibre cables.
