The BMU intends to set up a youth climate fund to support the commitment of young people and young adults to climate protection in the form of micro projects and additional networking events. The Youth Climate Fund is intended to reach young people and young adults across the entire range and diversity of their individual living and educational contexts, places of residence and migration experiences and strengthen their climate commitment. This claim is to be taken into account by the project. If necessary, specific follow-up measures are taken by the contractor (AN) in consultation with the client (AG'IN). The Conutor's task is to ensure a high level of youth participation in the design of program elements and to integrate peer-to-peer approaches. The Youth Climate Fund follows the mission statement of an education for sustainable development and is launched and further developed with the understanding of a learning program. The Youth Climate Fund is made up of three program pillars:
(a) low-level microproject funding for adolescents and young adults;
b) target group-specific advisory and activation measures, in particular a peer-to-peer mentoring program and
c) supra-regional networking events for participants in micro project funding.
In addition, higher-level program management tasks are envisaged.
