Carrying out transport services of art and cultural goods for the Dresden State Art Collections, Dresden location
Packaging and transport of art and cultural goods from various lenders in third countries, EU and Germany to Dresden in April/May 2022 and back to lenders in August/September 2022.
- Services to be provided by the client:
• complete monitoring and guidance of all activities at the point of departure
• Securing buildings against unauthorised access
- Services to be provided by the contractor:
• Provision of all necessary transport containers and packaging aids (primary packaging made of materials suitable for the proper packaging of the respective object such as tyvek, glassine and tissue paper, cardboard sheets, bubble wrap, foam, cardboard tape, etc.) and provision of all necessary Transport containers such as climate boxes, transport boxes, roll containers, etc. and all necessary loading equipment
• Packaging the goods not packed by the lenders in accordance with the restoration regulations of the lender or the client or their own packaging methods that guarantee at least equivalent packaging quality
• Loading the transported goods and securing the load accordingly to the vehicles that meet the minimum requirements
• Implementation of the security concept developed in the joint planning and preparation phase
• Transport the objects to the State Art Collections and transfer all goods to the designated premises. If accompaniment of the objects is required, all movements take place exclusively in the presence of the designated accompaniment
• Packing and unpacking by arrangement and instruction at the respective location in the presence of the client's restorers and, if necessary, the responsible object support
• If necessary, return of packaging material after the end of transport, dismantling/disposal of the bidder's own packaging materials, aids and building protection measures
• all additional costs required for order execution, such as travel and accommodation costs, meals or expenses, delivery and other costs
When the measures are completed, the acceptance report is drawn up to determine which damages/defects due to insurance or compensation services
and which are remedied by the contractor himself. The contractor must correct the defect immediately after detection or acceptance and may not take longer than five working days. The contractor must ensure that appropriate capacities are made available for this purpose.
